Zubair experienced a lot of suffering in his young life. He came to Delhi in 2015, uneducated and in a desperate situation to support his seriously ill mother in Assam. He found a job in Nizamuddin and there he heard about our evening school, which he then attended regularly. He then went to our computer courses and our English classes. He even passed the advanced courses. He then completed training as a tour guide on our Basti Tour. When Zubair’s mother died, he returned to Assam and fell into grief and despair. However, his teachers from the Hope Project stayed in touch with him and supported him financially and emotionally. Eventually, they convinced him to come back, and he found support through them and his friends at the Hope Project. It took him a long time to find a way out of his pain and he is now stronger than before. He works as a tour guide on our ‘Shan-e-Nizam’ Basti tour, speaks English fluently, teaches in our computer classes, does night duty at our reception and is currently learning our accounting system. We are happy that he has joined our Hope family. May he never feel alone again.
